Hire me I need the work!

PS I was kidding about the artistic nude thing...I mean unless thats what you want...

Little Boots for you ears...

Guys I found another artist that I love right now.

Her name is "Little Boots" and she is great. To me she is like a mix between Lady Gaga (amazing) and Rachel Stevens (also good).

I am fairly sure she is from the UK but you know it won't be long till she comes over the pond to us.

I am going to put her music on the site.

Until then here is her video for "New in Town"

I love it. A sparkly dress, dancing gangsters, shopping carts!? It's like a modern West Side Story!

It's amazing...

When the calender on my phone looks like this:

Time for some rest...

If I don't pick up a shift instead

Beauty & Das Beasten

Last night we watched Beauty and the Beast as we ate dinner.

I was jonesin' for it all day and I knew that Erin had a copy of

it. She got it off of Ebay and when she received it, it was in mandarin, but thankfully there was an english option.

So after watching the first five minutes in chinese we switched to english and continued to criticize it up and down as if it were one of our good

friends that had just left the room.

Things I came to realize about this movie:

1. Honestly, at its core, not a lot of it makes sense. I know its a cartoon but really. Example: In the whole wolf chase scene: A: Belle and that horse fall into a frozen river and emerge completely fine. B: The Beast arrives and is taken down by four wolves when later in the movie, he takes an arrow to the spine and it doesn't phase him. C: When all is said and done Belle, who should be dying of hypothermia, somehow gets the beast onto the horse by herself and gets him back to the castle. It just doesn't make sense.
2. If you pause the movie while Belle is talking, chances are she will be making the most hideous facial expression. My favorite one: When she enters the west wing, even though she has been told repeatedly not to do so, and finds the rose. After the Beast appears and covers the rose, he looks at her and her face turns to utter disgust. Actually, I think I have a picture of it somewhere around here. One sec. AH here it is: Ooo and another good one is when she sees the Beast as a human for the first time. She makes this face like she is a little disappointed on the way he turned out. Amazing right? Happens all the time so take note of it
3. I made this point last night during the whole "Lets get together as a quaint little french town and storm the castle to kill the beast-man" scene and I still stand by it. In my opinion, all things aside, the most ridiculous and far fetched thing about this entire movie is not the giant beast man, the talking furniture or the hideous expressions on Belle's face, its the fact that the french care enough to actually do anything.

PS I make fun of this movie but I really do love it. However, do you wanna see something really worth making fun of? Watch this clip from the Beauty and the Beast show here at the Hollywood studios. This is the transformation scene and it is pretty redic:

Those who leave us...

I had a friend at work pass away today. She has been sick and she passed this afternoon. The best way for me to deal with things like this is usually just to get it out. So I wrote a poem and wanted to share it with you guys.

Those who leave us...

Those who leave in January

Leave the snow behind

Those who leave in February

Don’t need a valentine

Those who leave in March

Saw their last green hours

Those who leave in April

Miss out on April showers

Those who leave in May

Depart while flowers blush

Those who leave in June

Won’t see the summer flush

Those who leave in July

Hear the fireworks kindle

Those who leave in August

Watch the summer dwindle

Those who leave in September

Won’t see the change of leaves

Those who leave in October

Will miss all hallows eve

Those who leave in November

Won’t need to be fed

Those who leave in December

Can’t smell the Gingerbread

Those who leave us, always,

Any time of year

leave a whisper with you

To wipe away your tears

But those who leave us never

Want us to be sad

They want us to remember

The good days that we had...

Lonely.

I recently downloaded Yael Naim's self titled Album and it is so beautiful, for lack of a better word.

The words that she writes are so honest and raw. They are words that you listen to her sing and you realize that you have had the exact same thoughts before. So relatable.

I wanted to post the lyrics to one of her pieces called "Lonely".

To me it told the story of watching a person you love, that used to need only you, slowly slip away out of your fingers. Suddenly you aren't the person that they need anymore, and no matter how lonely they feel, you no longer have the power to fill the hole they are feeling.

The music is so sincere and melancholy I just melt into it.

Just Read it.

If you want to listen to it while you read it is on the playlist to the right.

You are not alone
I am here with you
Even when you're scared
I'll never leave you
Standing in a storm

Making it insane
Once again, I would try
To enchain you
But you open your eyes to the sky
and whisper

That you are so lonely
You are so alone
You're so alone
You're so lonely, so lonely

So I'm colouring my face
While I am here with you
Imagining the landscapes of your sorrow
Is it yellow or blue?

Colouring the sky and the trees
and the clouds and the moonlight
I'd coloured your heart
If you didn't
I did

Now you are so lonely
You are so alone
You're so alone
You're so lonely, so lonely
You are so alone
You're so
You're so lonely, so lonely

And I wish you could just find home
Mmm mmm

I'm your biggest fan, i'll follow you until you love me...

The video for Our Lady Gaga's next single "Paparazzi" has finally dropped on YouTube and it is SIIIIIIICCCCCCKKKKKK!

Ya'll know Im obsessed with everything her highness puts out but this video is one of my favorites thus far!

It has a very classic italiano Versace feeling to it. So enjoy!

Happy:

June People!

I always think of Sunflowers when I think of June. I dunno why. But isn't that a pretty one?!

So I apologize for being rather vacant lately. I am not gonna give you excuses. I was busy.

Get over it :)

But I am going to try to be more diligent for the three people who check this little outlet regularly.

I have some goals for the month of June.

Here they are:

1. Finish (or start rather) the painting that has been miserably staring at me for the past three months.
2. Complete the "Secret Life of Bees". Its not a hard read I just lack time/motivation.
3. Keep my house clean.
4. Get a little more financially secure than that mighty $24.59 burning a hole in my bank account right now.
5. Not fail miserably at school this semester.

So there it is. I will keep you posted on my progress.

In other news, the other day I was hired by a friend to shoot some photos for her. I am not completely done editing but here is a sneak peek:

More to come kittens, more to come...
