This time I have an excuse...

I haven't be writing, but ya wanna know why?

I had surgery, so I look and feel like hell,

Let these pictures illustrate:

Photobucket

Now I'm not gonna get into details of the surgery cause it is gross and long but basically I have kidney issues so they put a big old plastic tube in my kidney for 4 days and it makes it really hurt when I:

  1. Cough
  2. Laugh
  3. Burp
  4. Prance

So basically I can't do anything. And it sucks.

So I just wanted to let you know that I wasn't ditching you guys...

It just hurts to move.

But you are all in my heart still...

Just like that tube is in my kidney.

Now excuse me while I go back to sleep for another 4 hours.

xoxo

P.S. Yes I am wrapped in a leopard snuggie. What of it?!

Dear Bloggers of the World:

Jane Lynch says

write in your freaking blogs more often!

Thank you

P.S.

That is actually not true, Jane Lynch did not say that. But wasn't she COSMIC in Glee last night?!

I just miss hearing all about your lives in blog form, so please, for me?

Arg!

Isn't that a cute pirate picture?

Anywho.

I recently found my cousin's blog randomly (thanks for not telling me about it Lindsey!) and through her blog I found another blog called Red Pirates.

It's not very developed but there is one little gem hiding in there.

It is a video on how to speak like a pirate.

It is BRILLIANT and I had to show it to you.

Enjoy.

OMG I have a new Blog!

SO I have had a dilemma as of late.

It may sound lame but....

I love taking pictures of funny things and then, in turn, uploading the pictures to my blog via my iPhone and sharing them with all of you.

The issue is (which you may scoff at) that I don't like the ugly sharp corners and weird format that the pictures have when I upload them that way.

And by the time I have my wonderful photoshop I am not motivated enough to upload the pics from my phone, edit them and FINALLY post them on my blog.

By that time the pic isn't that funny to me anyway and the point of mobile uploading is to upload things while you are mobile right?

So the only solution I saw was to make an entirely new blog dedicated solely to mobile uploads.

It is called Brycrasch To_Go!

Or you can click on my iPhone in the top right corner of this blog.

Good night my little kangaroo-bears.

xoxo?

*Cough*

So I'm sick...again.

Here's the thing about me being sick.

On the one hand I hate being sick cause I am a terrible sick person. I whine, I get lazy and I'm miserable.

On the OTHER hand though.

I get a lot of graphic stuff done on my blog.

So until I am healed I am going to sit in my nest and hibernate.

P.S. I am aware that the picture above is a meat thermometer.

Music to my cursor...

Guys.

I was reading a blog that I frequent and I saw a post leading to another awesome/pointless site.

Basically, (as explained by omgblog):

"This simple web toy lets you create hypnotic blippy music by illuminating boxes on the matrix."

Its awesome

Xanthophobia - The Fear of the Color Yellow.

So the other day at work a friend of mine was telling me about her friend in college that had an irrational fear of bananas. Like, literally, could not look at one without bursting into tears, which is... weird but whatever.

I don't blame her though after looking at that picture. Kinda creepy.

Anywho, today I got to thinking about that and I decided to look up some more irrational fears. There are some fears that are so ridiculous that I can't believe they exist. Then there are some fears that I have that I didn't realize I had till I saw them on the list. Here are some of my favorites.

Fear of:

Yikes. I hope they never watch Project Runway.

Beaten by a rod or instrument of punishment, or of being severely criticized- Rhabdophobia.

Hahaha! Thats specific.

Cholera- Cholerophobia.

Don't really have to worry about this one.

Duty or responsibility, neglecting- Paralipophobia.

I think my brothers have this one.

Jews- Judeophobia.

HA! Thats all.

Rooms- Koinoniphobia.

You're just screwed. Where ya gonna go?

Scabies- Scabiophobia.

Don't audition for Disney.

Tickled by feathers or feathers- Pteronophobia.

How bad can it be?

Ugliness- Cacophobia.

I feel this one.

Yellow color- Xanthophobia.

This is for that one girl . You are kinda validated?

The one I can relate to is Sarmassophobia: A Fear of Dating. Its a disease people!

He So Trendy...

Do you guys know who Bobby Trendy is?

Well if you don't Bobby Trendy is a Vietnamese American interior decorator, designer and television personality. He first achieved notoriety as a series regular on The Anna Nicole Show!

Basically, he's famous.

And we are friends.

We went out to this club for my birthday and he just happened to be there.

He wished me Happy Birthday and I got a picture with him. He was uber nice and I liked him

Here is the picture.

I was thrilled.

What do you guys think?

So this is what my hair looks like right now:

I just took that picture seconds ago on my iSight. Literally, that is what it looks like this moment.

And THIS is what I want to do to my hair:

I know it is extreme but lemme explain:

  1. It is so f-ing hot here and dancing in the sun with long hipster hair is not fun.
  2. I am SO tired of straightening my hair, then putting pounds of glue in it, keeping me from laying down in between shows because my hair then feels like a helmet and it's uncomfortable.
  3. I constantly crave change.
So I wanna know what you think. SO answer the poll below:

Do you think I should cut my hair like the picture of Brad Pitt above?
Yes that would be uber hot!
No, I would be embarrassed for you and make fun of you behind your back.
boots

And If you are extremely opposed to the hairstyle, find me one you think would be suitable and send me the link in a comment.

So I'm Obsessed with Terrariums...

Much like the one above.

I just think they are so cool. Like little contained worlds.

I especially love when they are in cool apothecaries.

Like the ones below:
In case you feel like making one for yourself (and who wouldn't?!) here are some vague and hard to follow instructions:

What you need:
~clear glass lidded jar
~stones
~soil
~charcoal
~moss
~decorations
~spray mist bottle

1. Find your perfect container.
Traditional terrariums are in clear glass lidded containers. Thrift shops usually have lots of great choices, if you can find a sweet vintage apothecary jar or a lidded Ball jar, they work great for terrariums. Just be sure its not too small, you need room for a layer of stones, dirt, moss, and any decorations you want to add, so keep that in mind when finding your lidded glass jar.

2. Layer of stones.
Since your terrarium won't have any drainage, you have to great a place for excess moisture to drain away from the roots do they aren't stilling in water. You should have a mix of small and slightly larger stones to ensure good drainage. About 1 inch of rocks, give or take, at the bottoms should be good. I found mine at the beach, but you can buy gravel from a garden shop too.

3. Soil
Its best to use potting soil from a garden shop mixed with a little bit of gardening charcoal sprinkled in which acts as a purifier to prevent bacteria from growing, but I've also used the dirt from the ground under the moss I've dug, it seems to work fine too (you just have to be sure there are no buggies in it!). The soil you use should be moist before you put it in, if its not, add some water into your soil charcoal mix before you put it into the jar. Layer in the soil into the container.

4. Plants
You can find small shrubs or moss in your yard or at a gardening store. Choose ones that are appealing to you.

5. Decorate
Now add any sweet little decorations you'd like! I love things like little Buddhas, but you can add anything you like! Just keep in mind that it stays rather moist inside your terrarium, so ceramic, glass, or plastic is the way to go, wood or other porous materials will get moldy after time!

Care:

Its important to keep your terrarium in indirect sunlight and to not to over water, just once every 2/3 weeks. If you are not sure when to water, just check the soil, it should be moist and it should not get dried out, but there should not really be much standing water at the rock level.

So there you have it. If anyone is ambitious enough to actually go make one I wanna see. Send me the pics. I will do the same.

Good night my little walruses...or is it Walry

xoxo?

iDaft...

So I am sick and if you know me you know that I am a complete baby when I am sick and all I do it sit on my ass and blog. Which is great for my blog but bad for all the people around me that have to deal with my whiney ways.

Anywho, while I was sitting on the couch for hours, watching Toddlers and Tiaras and surfing the net I found the most pointless/awesome website eva!

It is called iDaft and I love it like a cow loves it's baby calf.

It entertained me for hours so go and take a gander.

I sit and press the "harder" button over and over again during commercial breaks.
