Thanksgiving.

Isn't that such a hilarious picture of a turkey?

I thought so.

Anywho, this may be super trite and boring to you but it seems to be a blogging tradition on THANKSgiving to make a list of the things that we are THANKful for.

I know, I know, it has been done, but I think it is always good to show gratitude for the things you have because it puts you in the mindset to receive more blessings.

And who doesn't want blessings?

Idiots, that's who.

So do you wanna be an idiot?

Didn't think so.

So after you read my list I want you to make a list of your own and post it as a comment.

Cause like Eckhart Tolle said:

"Acknowledging the good that you already have in your life is the foundation for all abundance."

So here is mine:

1. I'm thankful for all of the spirits that touch my life everyday, from my family (even though they all are having a party on the other side of the country without me! geeze guys), my friends, my co-workers and my little dog Evie.
2. Im thankful for my Macbook, which includes the internet, blogging, Photoshop, Illustrator, Garage Band, Final Cut and iTunes.
3. I'm thankful for music because it is my drug of choice (along with crack (which as you know is wack))
4. I'm thankful for my job, because even though it involves destroying my body at a young age, working inhumane hours on holidays that everyone else has off, and being forced to high five dirty, swine-flu ridden children, I still love it.
5. I'm thankful that my 1994 Honda Accord is still running, even though the engine shuts off every time I come to a stop light.
6. I'm thankful to Lady Gaga for founding a religion I can finally commit to
7. I'm thankful for P.I. Tchaikovsky's The Nutcracker (Complete Ballet Score) for providing the soundtrack to this post.
8. I'm thankful that I live on the third floor because, even though it sucks when I have 37 bags of groceries, I feel like I live in a tree house so it's worth it.
9. I'm thankful for books because there are so many I will never run out of stories to read and they look pretty on my bookshelf.
10. And finally I am thankful to you for reading this blog. I put so much time and energy into it and the only reason I do it is for you.

So thank you.

September!

Now that I am an adult and September doesn't mean I have to go back to endure the endless, tragic cycle that is elementary school I actually enjoy the month.

Reasons I like September as an adult:

1. It cools down a little which means I will only be dancing in the sahara instead of the surface of the sun.
2. September is just one month away from my favorite month October!
3. Fall is fun.

And thats all I have.

But I still enjoy it.

Anywho, for the month of September I decided to make Myself in Center ANIMATED!

Hence all the cartoons, paint strokes and color everywhere.

I like it, it brings some character to the place.

All the art, including the awesome king at the first of this post is from Printstock, an awesome artist I found online. I love it, I hope you do to.

Now for this post I want to know:

June People!

I always think of Sunflowers when I think of June. I dunno why. But isn't that a pretty one?!

So I apologize for being rather vacant lately. I am not gonna give you excuses. I was busy.

Get over it :)

But I am going to try to be more diligent for the three people who check this little outlet regularly. 

I have some goals for the month of June. 

Here they are:

1. Finish (or start rather) the painting that has been miserably staring at me for the past three months.
2. Complete the "Secret Life of Bees". Its not a hard read I just lack time/motivation.
3. Keep my house clean.
4. Get a little more financially secure than that mighty $24.59 burning a hole in my bank account right now. 
5. Not fail miserably at school this semester. 

So there it is. I will keep you posted on my progress.

In other news, the other day I was hired by a friend to shoot some photos for her. I am not completely done editing but here is a sneak peek:

May Day! 

I dunno about you but the picture above screams Spring.

For anyone who has never heard of May Day it is sort of a celebration of spring. I was looking up May Day traditions and I found this little gem:

" In some parts of the United States, May Baskets are made. These baskets are small and usually filled with flowers or treats and left at someone's doorstep. The basket giver would ring the bell and run away. The person receiving the basket would try to catch the fleeing giver. If they caught the person, a kiss was to be exchanged."

Awww. I think that is a tradition that should be practiced by everyone. I love May because it is still spring but warm like the summer. 

I freakin love the Spring.

OCTOBER!

It is October the first which is so exciting for me! It is probably my favorite month! It is cool outside, Day light savings happens (the good "falling back" one, not that bitch "spring forward), and best of all HALLOWEEN! It is by far my favorite holiday!

In the spirit of halloween here are some reasons that I love it!

Forth of July everyone! As Americans we are obviously the best country so lets shove it down everyone's throats by eating twice our body weight and blowing stuff up! What will I be doing on this "holiday"? Shaking my junk for strangers...business as usual.

July everyone! This is the first (official) post of the month...forget about that cell phone thing...that was more of a side note, not a post. Here are some things I want to accomplish this month, because I love making lists!:

1. Get my new amazing cell phone, which I have already named Herbie
2. Actually finish the books of the month for June
3. Play with fireworks
4. Get through Block Party without hysterically crying or throwing up afterwards
5. Finish (or rather start) the painting that has been sitting on my easel for a month
6. Become more flexible (in my legs not my thinking)
7. Save some money
8. Buy some silverware so we don't have to keep eating cereal with measuring spoons (maybe that one should be on the top of the list)
9. Rearrange my room
10. Become more present

So there you have it, my list of things that I would like to but probably won't accomplish. Except for the cell phone one, that is a must.
