Oh the news...

So today as I was perusing the different news websites I realized that other countries don't really play around with their news like we do.

Here are some screen shots from MSN and BBC.

See if you can notice the difference in the top headlines:

Here is BBC:
Iraq?! Earthquakes?! Boys?!

shocking.

Now here is MSN:

Pole Dancing Doll? Really?

I kinda see why people view Americans as Red-neck, sex crazed, right-winged, T.V. Junkies.

I mean, look at the top five "Hot Topics".

Geez America.

P.S. The Pole Dancing Doll sparked my fancy.

Surprised?

But....OMG guys it's ridiculous.

I will post about it soon.

I was reading a blog that I frequent and I saw a post leading to another awesome/pointless site.

Basically, (as explained by omgblog):

"This simple web toy lets you create hypnotic blippy music by illuminating boxes on the matrix."

iDaft...

So I am sick and if you know me you know that I am a complete baby when I am sick and all I do it sit on my ass and blog. Which is great for my blog but bad for all the people around me that have to deal with my whiney ways.

Anywho, while I was sitting on the couch for hours, watching Toddlers and Tiaras and surfing the net I found the most pointless/awesome website eva!

It is called iDaft and I love it like a cow loves it's baby calf.

It entertained me for hours so go and take a gander.

I sit and press the "harder" button over and over again during commercial breaks.

Steller

Choose Your Kuler...

Hello my little Parakeets. Before we begin I must state two things about the title of this post:

A: I am aware that I spelled the word "Color" wrong.

B: Some of you may know, but I hate it when people spell "C" words with "K's"...It seriously makes me wanna go crazy (ie. Krazy, Kandy, Kats). It made me cringe to even type those.

Anyway I just had to get that out of my system. Now lets begin.

ATTENTION ALL ARTISTS!

This post is for any one who is an artist or designer or something like unto that. Over the weekend I was shown the coolest website.

It seriously it so fun/useful when having indecision about color choice/theory.

It is called Kuler and it is amazing.

Basically, you can choose a color and it will show you what other colors go well with it. You can choose weather you want analogous, monochromatic, triad, complimentary ect. ect.

It also will give you the color codes for each of the colors so you can find them in photoshop or illustrator. It is so so cool.

But seriously go look at it. Even if you aren't an artist it is fun to look at.

PS. Allie this post was basically for you :)

They feel fine. Do you?

Ok people. This is SO COOL!

Seriously I am actually excited about this. No sarcasm. I know it might be hard to decifer since I am usually bitter and snatchy in my posts.

But for real real this is awesome.

There is a website called We Feel Fine

According to their mission statement they define themselves as the following:

"We Feel Fine is an exploration of human emotion on a global scale.

Since August 2005, We Feel Fine has been harvesting human feelings from a large number of weblogs. Every few minutes, the system searches the world's newly posted blog entries for occurrences of the phrases "I feel" and "I am feeling". When it finds such a phrase, it records the full sentence, up to the period, and identifies the "feeling" expressed in that sentence (e.g. sad, happy, depressed, etc.). Because blogs are structured in largely standard ways, the age, gender, and geographical location of the author can often be extracted and saved along with the sentence, as can the local weather conditions at the time the sentence was written. All of this information is saved...

...The interface to this data is a self-organizing particle system, where each particle represents a single feeling posted by a single individual. The particles' properties – color, size, shape, opacity – indicate the nature of the feeling inside, and any particle can be clicked to reveal the full sentence or photograph it contains. The particles careen wildly around the screen until asked to self-organize along any number of axes, expressing various pictures of human emotion. We Feel Fine paints these pictures in six formal movements titled: Madness, Murmurs, Montage, Mobs, Metrics, and Mounds.

At its core, We Feel Fine is an artwork authored by everyone. It will grow and change as we grow and change, reflecting what's on our blogs, what's in our hearts, what's in our minds. We hope it makes the world seem a little smaller, and we hope it helps people see beauty in the everyday ups and downs of life."

Sorry I know that is a little wordy, but I thought it was interesting. So basically for those of you whose minds turn off at the sight of long paragraphs, they search blogs and find what people's emotions are then display them in for all to see in a way that is visually stimulating to the eye. It is awesome.

So go to the website and see it for yourself.

I wonder if they have even taken anything from my blog. Well I might as well help them out

"I feel excited about my life and the fact that it's only just begun."

I don't think christianity is for me...

So I just saw this video on a friends mypace and at first I thought it was gonna be lame...but it is actually pretty fun.

Then I discovered that the kid who made it actually has an entire video blog...

Now you know how I feel about video blogs...

But his video blog has totally changed my mind about "vlogging" in general. This kid is hilarious! If you want more after you watch the video below click here to go to his youtube profile.

Don't watch this if you are an easily offended Christian...

Curse the Internet!

So our internet has been broken for like a week. So I apologize for the lack of postage. You better believe that there are some juicy blogs coming up! SO be patient and I promise good things are on their way!

Until then here is a video of a puppy yelling "I want out" over and over again. Animal neglect has never been so fun.

Cyanide & Happiness...

I dunno about you but every morning I have a routine I go through on the internet. I cannot start my day correctly unless I first complete the following tasks:

  1. Check my Myspace, usually sending me into a deep depression because no one writes me.
  2. Check my Facebook hoping that it will make me feel better, and usually it doesn't. Curse you online communities!
  3. Check my Gmail account. At least JoAnne's craft store loves me enough to send me their latest promotions.
  4. Check the temperature and weather for the day to see if I am actually going to have to work that day. No Sun = No High School Musical.
  5. Then I Check my blog and see if any of my favorite blogs have updated themselves.
  6. And finally I check a website called Explosm.net full of hilarious comics called Cyanide & Happiness.
I usually save this website for last because no matter how empty/depressing my other accounts are, this website is always there to cheer me up. They update daily and hit my sense of humor right on target. I love them and I recommend it to everyone. I'd like to share a few of my favorites with you.

*note: you may have to click on them to make them bigger so you can read them. Stop complaining I can't do all the work.

Charlie the Unicorn: Part Deux

So I am ecstatic that the amazing "Charlie the Unicorn" video now has a sequel! It is even better than the first. Usually sequels are awful (like Bring it on: In it to Win It or the never ending Land Before Time series. No one likes any of them after the first one.) but this one rocks, like Toy Story 2. So here it is Charlie the Unicorn 2!:

Here is the first one in case you haven't seen it:

Broken Internet

I'm sorry that I haven't been posting lately. Our jankey internet has been down. But I am back with a friendly vengeance. So you will see new posts soon.
