I did Block Party Bash at the Hollywood Studios today for the first time in a LONG time.

And I was reminded of how awful/hard it is.

I mean it's fun but geeze it makes me want to throw up and cry

simultaneously.

Anywho, on the way home from the Bash today a song came on my iPod that really explains how Block Party Feels.

Lonely.

I recently downloaded Yael Naim's self titled Album and it is so beautiful, for lack of a better word. 

The words that she writes are so honest and raw. They are words that you listen to her sing and you realize that you have had the exact same thoughts before. So relatable.

I wanted to post the lyrics to one of her pieces called "Lonely".

To me it told the story of watching a person you love, that used to need only you, slowly slip away out of your fingers. Suddenly you aren't the person that they need anymore, and no matter how lonely they feel, you no longer have the power to fill the hole they are feeling.

I have had the last two days off and I have been feeling extremely stuffed up. So I thought I should probably paint to get my emotions out. She's the nicest thing...

Today's song of the day is by Kate Nash. I recently discovered her on accident and I am so in love with her. Her lyrics are so conversational and all of her songs are so easy for me to relate. Plus she has the most adorable Brittish accent, I just wanna squeeze her to death. I love her so much. She is so quirky and fun. It is really hard for me to narrow it down to just one song of hers cause all of them are so great.
